It's 2021, finally. And time to see what new surprises are ahead.
In the past year I needed to do a swatch for a sweater knit in the round. Not wanting to waste yarn, Swatchy the Cap was quickly made. The first one came out a bit on the large side. (Oops) So, when the sweater was done and there was yarn left over, I decided to alter the original cap pattern for two smaller sizes. Voila, here's a quick hat to knit up for those January nights.

Instructions:
Brim
Chart 1: Knit 2 Purl
2 Rib. Repeat each row 24, {27, 30}
times in the round. Repeat rounds 1
& 2 as needed.
On Size 6 (mm) needles, Cast On 96,
{108, 120} stitches.
Join stitches in the round, being
careful not to twist stitches.
Place marker to show the beginning of
the round.
Round 1: (k2, p2) x 24, {27, 30}
Round 2: (k2, p2) x 24, {27, 30}
Repeat rounds 1 & 2 until ribbing
measures 3” {3.5”, 4”} from cast on edge.
Head
Remove the beginning of round marker,
knit 8, {4, 0} stitches, then place maker back on the right hand needle.
Chart 2: Head Chart. Repeat stitches 61 through 66 five, {seven,
nine} more times (6, {8, 10} times total) before completing each round.
Change to US Size 7 (4.5 mm) needles.
